New Dashboard on personnel costs in ERC AdG

30/05/2024

This week, the ERC Dashboard was launched to assist experts in evaluating ERC Advanced Grant proposals in the Horizon Europe program and applicants in budget preparation. These projects are now funded as lump sums. The Dashboard focuses on personnel costs and provides a detailed overview of monthly costs by country and category based on data from ERC projects over the past 6 years (since 2018). Historical data will serve as a benchmark to help experts assess the reasonableness of proposed personnel budgets. It guides applicants on when to provide additional justification for their estimated costs. Personnel cost estimates do not have to follow the past data. Applicants should estimate the costs in line with their own institution’s accounting practices for the preparation of the budget..

For more information, visit ERC web:

The FTO portal has also released a similar overview for lump sum project proposals across the entire Horizon Europe program, excluding ERC. This Horizon Dashboard uses data from other parts of the Horizon Europe program, combining all staff categories into one. It provides information on personnel costs from 2022 to the present, supplemented with data from H2020 from 2018–2020 as needed.
