Czech Republic among fast-growing EU innovators

27/09/2022

The Czech Republic has been classified as one of the fastest growing innovators (together with Ireland and Finland) in the recently published European Innovation Scoreboard 2022. While still a moderate innovator, its performance is getting close to the EU average. The innovation leader 2022 is Sweden. Cyprus, one of the so-called Horizon Europe widening countries moved to the strong innovators group. Performance in the Innovation Scoreboard represents one part of a composed indicator based on which the widening status is assessed. Any improvement may thus impact this status which might concern the Czech Republic in the future as well. Detailed information is available here.
