Czech Republic participates actively in the development of the European Research Area (ERA) and in the activities of major international scientific institutions. Czech Republic's participation in the ERA is the responsibility of the Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Czech Republic participates in the activities of the European Research Area by participating for example in the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, by supporting international cooperation in coordination activities and programmes and being active in international organisations. Czech Republic has delegates in some working groups and expert advisory groups for individual topics of the Horizon Europe framework programme.
