On 22 January 2024 from 2 PM CET, the British Academy, in collaboration with the Association of ERC Grantees (AERG), is organising a half-day conference on funding opportunities for the humanities and social sciences in the EU and other up-to-date issues and challenges facing these disciplines.
The conference offers an opportunity for researchers from SSH disciplines to learn more about how to succeed in European Research Council (ERC) competitions. The benefits and challenges of international scientific mobility will also be discussed. Finally, issues related to academic freedom, research security and ethical considerations will be addressed, with a particular focus on the challenges posed by the rapid development of artificial intelligence.
