Day with ERC
When: |
09/04/2024 - 10/04/2024 |
Where: |
Chateau Třešť (https://www.zamek-trest.cz/cs/) |
We would like to cordially invite you to the first edition of a networking event for junior researchers called Day with ERC. The event is organized by the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University, Technology Centre Prague and the Expert Group for supporting ERC applicants.
The goal of this discussion meeting is to provide junior scientists with an informal platform for an exchange with ERC and ERC CZ grant holders and evaluators. The event is intended as a prelude to the National Information Day on ERC grants. Please see the attached leaflet to find out what experts you will have the opportunity to meet in person.
The Day with ERC shall help junior scientists learn about ERC grants as an opportunity to gain scientific independence and implement a long-term research program. At the event, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the ERC, including what sets the ERC apart from other opportunities nationally and internationally and why you should consider submitting such a project proposal.
In the afternoon of the first day, there will be a debate, followed by a joint dinner and informal networking. The second day ends with a common breakfast. Discussion will be held in English.
Accommodation and meals will be provided free of charge for confirmed participants. Transportation to the venue is not arranged.
Registration is open until 18 March 2024, or until the capacity is reached.
IMPORTANT!
Please note that registration is open to applicants from all Czech research institutions, with the exception of Charles University and institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where registration will be done through the employer.
Online registration counts with several places for substitutes. Filling in the registration form alone does not guarantee that you have been placed on the list of participants. Please wait for confirmation of your registration before you start arranging your journey.
